Course Description: This program is designed for those who are responsible for packaging and shipping clinical laboratory specimens to State Laboratories through the courier system. Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations require that any person who packages and ships these types of specimens must be trained in awareness of the regulations. If packaging and shipping falls within an employees' duties, the employee must have documentation of awareness training for these regulations.
